i have had 1 baby hatch when do i take it out of the incubator and feed him and give him water and it a watter bottle ok? or what should i give them water out of

I just went thru. this same thing as a newbi. I found that you need to leave them in the incubator for a day or two. Make sure they get out of the shell on their own. The will be running around inside the incubator. The are fine for 2 days without food or water. A great tip I was given to make them grow much faster was feed them GAME BIRD STARTER. It has 29% protein and makes them grow much faster.

Wait for the others to hatch before you open the bator. If you open for just a second to grab out the chick then you risk "shrink wrapping" any others that have already pipped! They are fine the first 3 days with no food or water. Thats why hatcherys ship day old chicks because they can live on the yolk for the first 3 days! I know its hard to not take out each little fuzzy butt, but you will have a better hatch if you DON"T OPEN THE BATOR! I have had chicks take a little longer than 24 hours to hatch after pip. Let nature work.
