One of my girls occasionally lays a deformed egg...

Well once in awhile I notice that an egg has almost a flat side.. almost like it was soft and when she layed it in the nest in became flat... very strange... anyone get these ? I will try and post a picture of it....

Nothing to worry about, especially if the hens are relatively new layers and it only happens occasionally. Many eggs are not the perfect egg shaped eggs we are used to seeing in the grocery stores.

yeah they only been laying since January.. and it is very rare I see a deformed egg.. maybe 3 total I have seen...
