One of my hens passed away recently, and ever since that day one of my other hens stopped laying eggs.

Chickens morn differently , but they do suffer from separation. There will be tension for Awhile as the flock will make adjustments to who the hierarchy is. That to can cause stress.

I think it could be, we had two hens like that, when one got sick the other stood on top of the box the other was in and when the sick one passed away she stopped laying.

I’m sorry for your loss. Did she ever lay again? I’m hoping my girl’s mood improves, she just acts so lost now & I can’t do anything for her besides giving her extra love

She wasn't acting active like the rest and sadly got gotten by a hawk three weeks later.
