one of my leghorns just laid her first clutch (at this time of year even)shes not near as attentive as i would like to see... I would love to know a quick, cheap and safe way to ensure a better hatch rate than she may give. cheap incubators that work, how to make one-anything is much appreciated! thanks so much

They are little tricky, but you can read a lot -------------> here <------------

EDIT:
Check also Still Air incubators and your local Craigslist

I built my own incubator / hatcher with duel digital controllers for about $65 (I'm on my first attempt at a hatch). It's pretty big I'm sure I could do a smaller one for half that price. I have a friend who has hatched successfully with a cardboard box, some towels, and a light bulb. You might try something real basic like that if you are worried they wont make it with your hen. good luck with your leghorns, they are some of my favorites in my flock
