One of my new chicks doesn't look well

She is sleeping a lot, and hardly gets up. She always looks tired. When she eats, she lays down by the feeder. The others (8 all together) have been running around and carrying on like normal. They are all 2 weeks old. What could be wrong with her?

Well...at least she's eating - that's good. It's just so hard to say. I know my BO seemed to sleep all the time when she was a chick. But she grew up as healthy as anything. So it might be nothing. Or it could be an illness (internal) that you can do nothing for. Droppings normal and drinking okay????

Yes, droppings seem normal, and she is drinking and eating. She just lays around all the time. Hopefully, I'm just worried for nothing.

Oh, wait. A couple of days ago, I thought she had diarrhea. It seems to have cleared up now, though.

Watch her for a while. Does she ever have bursts of activity, even if it's short-lived??? Hopefully it's just who she is. Like I said, my BO laid around a LOT when she was a young chick - she less than half as active as any of my other chicks, and she was perfectly fine. If your chick is ill, it doesn't sound like an illness issue that you can do much about. So unless that changes, just watch and wait...

Thanks for replying, teach! Hopefully, I'm just paranoid. I went back out there and she did perk up a bit when an unlucky gnat flew into the brood pen. She's just not as lively as the others, but maybe she will be okay.
