one of my new chicks has dissapeared

one of my 3 week old chicks have dissapeared into nowhere but i know that two magpies were near by so could it of been them?

Welcome to BYC! Unfortunately it was probably taken by a predator of some sort, sorry about that.

Welcome to BYC. Everything likes to eat chickens. Chicks are especially vulnerable, and although I have no experience with magpies - other members of the family will kill and eat chicks.
