They are Khaki Campbells.

Momma is atually beginning a molt, so she will look better in a few weeks if all those babies don't cause her to loose her mind

A broody khaki? That's not the norm, is it? I can't believe she has that many! What a trooper!

I can't wait, my cayuga is setting for the third or fourth time this year. Every other time she has set something has gotten her nest. This time she got smart, and has her nest in the tall weeds by the barn. The barn is about 40 feet from the house, where the self-appointed LGD hangs out. That dog won't let any predators come near here! So as long as we can keep the pup away from the nest, I should have some baby cayugas soon!

When we got into the Khakis we were under the impression that they did not go broody. well that does not seem to hold water. We have four more ducks sitting on eggs as well, all Khakis. We did an exhaustive search yesterday, as we felt that maybe a predator had been picking them off. No, they are sitting tight in a small area of underbrush. Two are sitting in the same nest, one is right next to them in a seperate nest, and the last is across the property in an area that is kind of out in the open.

Your question about what are we going to do with all of these is about to have much deeper meaning
