We have a flock of 14 geese. Back in spring, when they were hatching goslings, one of the big males got repeatedly run out of the flock. The rest would gang up on him and keep him at a distance. For a while, he orbited the geese and then one day he started to orbit the ducks. Before long, he was king of the ducks and despite our attempts to keep him out, he now goes into the duck house at night (the geese stay outside). This seemed OK, as he is quite watchful and defends the ducks when the need arises. But now he seems to have a girlfriend; he has paired up with a Pekin and they go everywhere together. Now I'm wondering if this is going to be a problem when spring fever arrives.
