We had four chickens, about 6 mos old. Yesterday they got attacked by a coyote. One was killed and taken away--one was hurt. Her left eye is swollen shut and there are wounds around the area. We cleaned her up and separated her to a small pen in the garage. We put neosporin on the wound and have been hand feeding and watering her. She is swallowing the food and water. She is sleeping and we think she'll make it . We're most worried about infection. What can we put on an eye wound besides neosporin?
Thank you!

It sounds like you have done all the right things. Keep her wounds clean and let her rest. It is amazing how these little creatures can make it through pretty bad injuries. I think I read somewhere on BYC that you should not use antibiotic ointments w/ pain reliever in it. Just plain antibiotic ointment is best. I hope ypur little one makes a fast recovery!!
