She is most likely broody. If she looks flat like a pancake, makes weird sounds when you go near her, and if she sits on the eggs ALL day, then she's broody.question... I have 6 hens and they have always stayed together while running free in the yard. now i have one that has been staying in the coop and just sitting on eggs. I have no rooster and wanted to know if this is a concern? any help is much appreciated...

If you have no rooster, there is no point of letting her sit on eggs. The eggs won't hatch.
If you want chicks, buy/get some fertile eggs (craigslist, ebay. etc.).
If you don't want chicks, try to "break" her broodiness.
