Well, it is foaling season and I forgot to close the Guineas door. Heard them yacking and sure enough bout ten of them were planning their escape.
I closed the barn doors and got all but ONE of the little turds back into their enclosure.
One of them got out through the rafter opening of the barn.
I went out and tried to catch the guy, but he flew up into a high tree.
Later that day I noticed he was gone.
That evening I saw him in the road and tried to catch him once again.
He ran into the woods and I managed to chase him into a high tree once again.
He spent the night there I am guessing. They next day in the afternoon I saw him
in the road again. This time I just tried to get him back on the property, no avail though.
So I let it go and sure enough the little turd ends up with the chickens free ranging.
I saw him go up to the barn were his buddies live and viola, he was in the barn trying
to get back into the enclosure.
So, I closed the barn doors and caught his little turd self and threw him into with his friends.
Moral to the story.... let them come back on their own, do not try to catch them in the open.
It is true, they can not stand to be alone and they know were home is and they know were
their friends live.
