This couple of Robins have had 3 separate hatches since spring in my yard. so this is their latest, she only laid 2 this time, usually it's three.
one is hatched and it has a little tuft of hair on his head.
though they tend to be little jerks once they start to leave the nest it's still always fun to watch new life coming into the world

she more than likely got all that wonderful hay from my shed or the chicken coop

My lab would put them in her mouth and my boxer would play with them

I don't let my lab near my chickens either one time when my chickens were a few days old she leaves down and sucked one up in her mouth . didnt bite or anything but i don't trust her around really small animals.
She did spit her back out ..and she is fine but I was like omg

Moose he just thinks everything is to play with but if u know boxers they play a lot with their paws and jumping

Wish they would both get rid of the squrriels now lol

I have a boxer, she's my third one now. I'm familiar with their desire to "play" with other critters. :) My current one is trouble for sure. So far my dogs can't catch the squirrels, rabbits or chipmunks, but that doesn't stop them from trying. My bulldog Boston terrier mix has on occasion snatched birds out of the air.

We've had robin nests on the bedroom window sill, the 5 eggs hatched about a day apart. From first chick to last was a noticeable size difference of course, later in the day the newest chick was no longer in the nest. I checked on the ground nothing. I suppose the biggest chick ate him or momma did.:sick
