I posted over in Emergencies but I need some help..like now so hopefully someone will see this and respond.

My little girl, 10 days old that was born with wry neck is sick! She sounds congested, is wheezing and just sounds horrible.

She was fine yesterday and last night when I moved all the younger goslings from their smaller brooder to a larger community brooder. When I got up this morning she was wheezy and congested and when I gave her fresh water she immediately jumped in, cleared her nostrils and sounded better after a few moments. Now she's the same way this evening!

I'm going to move her back to the smaller brooder, which is an enclosed cat carrier and it will be warmer for her. Does anyone have any advice for me? What can I do to help her? I'm thinking about bringing her into the bathroom with some scalding hot water in the shower to help clear her up a bit. Will that help?

She's no better this morning but no worse. I have Trouble in with her because she was crying so hard about being alone. Of course I posted this over on Emergencies too and no one responded.

I just don't know what to do for her.

My vet doesn't open until morning and I know he's going to tell me he doesn't do farm animals but I'm going to see if I can get a broad spectrum antibiotic from him anyway.

Can you go to a feed store and get some anitbiotic that you can add to her water? They sell all kinds of antibiotic additives at feed stores. I use it all the time for my many critters. Just make sure it can be used on waterfowl.

We have the wry problem under control, its completely gone. Now she's sick, Dorothy. The feed stores here are closed on Sunday. (Problems of living in a small town) I'm just hoping she can hold on until morning. I'm so worried about her.

Do you have a Fleet Farm or some sort of store like that. They carry antibiotics sometimes.
