Hi, so I have 4 baby chicks I had shipped to me last week. They are one week old today. All arrived fine, then a day or so later my partridge cochin bantam male, snoop, developed pasty butt, I washed his butt off, and then he seemed to get a prolapse vent, I still washed his butt off, gave him sugar water, apple cider vinegar water, scrambled eggs, hardboiled egg yolk. Today, the other chicks started to pick on him so now he is in his own box. And today he can barely stand his eyes are closed mostly and he cries alot. Every now and then his eyes open and it's like he's trying to live. Is there anything else I can do?

Welcome to BYC. They should not be eating popcorn, boiled egg just yet without chick grit. Since he has a prolapse and probable constipation, I would give him drops of coconut or mineral oil orally very carefully. Dip his beak into the water often. Mushy chick feed and raw egg are okay in small amounts. Is the brooder temperature too warm? That as well as shipping stress can lead to constipation. For the prolapse some use witch hazel on chicks, but I would use some hydrocortisone cream, honey, or hemorrhoid cream to shrink the tissue.
