Only 1 chick left and she is "clogged"

Last week, I bought 7 chicks and they were doing fine. We had raised chickens a few years ago, and I wanted my nephew to have the same experience. I noticed one chick seemed "clogged"; there's a big chunk of poop stuck on her bottom, and I can't tell if she just sat in something and now it's hard, or if she actually is "plugged".

Yesterday, someone accidentally left the garage door open (the chicks were in a box with a heat lamp in the garage) and our dog decided 7 wasn't the perfect number after all. Somehow, the clogged chick was the only one that survived. I hate seeing her suffer by herself...does anyone know what to do? And can anyone that is raising chicks already take care of one more? I'm not sure how old she is...I got them at the local feed/farm supply store during their "Easter Chick Days", and we just had to get a bigger box because some of them were already trying to fly around. She was in the "Assorted Pullet" box. I live in Sarasota, FL, so if you are close by and can adopt a chick, please contact me!

Soak her butt in warm water and GENTLY pull off the poop as it softens. Be patient and extra gentle because there have been cases of someone getting a little too rough and pulling out the intestines along with the poop. If you don't clear the poop she will die.

Pasty butt is caused by too much heat or not enough food or clean water. If she makes it through the pasty butt episode check the temp of the brooder and make sure the food and water are not directly under the heat lamp. I know this sounds funny but it really works for past butt. Go to an area of your lawn that has NOT been sprayed with any chemicals and dig up a 4 inch by 4 inch piece of grass with the dirt still clinging to it. Put it in the brooder with the chick and she will explore it and eat a bit. Not only will it clear the pasty butt but it will also give the poor thing something to do until you can get replacements or give her away. One chick is not good. They need companions. For tonight give her a small stuffed animal to cuddle up with or a fuzzy old wash cloth or even a feather duster to make her more comfortable.

she has pasty butt
you pick her up and soak her butt in lukewarm water to touch. and take a paper towel or napkin and wet it and gentle wipe her ass off and then let her sit under a light to dry off or hold the chick on washcloth near your body to keep the chick warm and get a other chick today or give it away n or get stuff animal with sound in it. and put wire over the bin or get a wire rabbit cage.

Remove the poo as recommended as above and if her little behind looks red, you can put some vaseline or lotion on it. Then you'll want to get her a few more baby friends because chickens don't do well alone.

Sorry about the dog getting the others.
