That was definitely the work of a predator. Just because you don't see the predators around does not mean they are not there. This especially applies to nocturnal predators. Yes, I also think it sounds like a predator. Have you checked out the predators and pests forum? I have been over there a fair amount, both to get advice on our own predator issues and to see what other poultry keepers are up against. They can help you figure out your predator and how to protect against it. Best of luck!That was definitely the work of a predator. A weasel would more likely do neck and throat damage.
