Hi! I just wanted to find out which size run should I buy? I will be going away for 6 days, someone will be coming to visit to sort out food and water not let them out of their run.
Option 1:11ft in length, 5 ft in Width
Option 2:14ft in length, 5 ft in Width

can I get away with option 1? (It’s going to cost much less) Or is option 2 more fair

please note, a large standard coop that holds 6 bantams will be in the run.

If you are able to buy option 2, definitely get it. More is always better, and it leave space to expand your flock.

I believe one will be fine , but if you want to add more to your flock , I’d go with a large size. Our chicken math sometimes gets the best of us :D

Ok, Just before I go ahead with it, do chickens really poo everywhere in the garden? Also will they be happy to free range in option 2 if I don’t let them out?

They poop everywhere , I wouldn’t allow them in a garden, they will destroy it. They should be happy with option 2 :)

Ok so I’ve ordered option 2 😊

when is the earliest they can go into their coop? The run won’t come til 11th August!! The chicks will Be 2 weeks old this Friday.
