Only One Baby ...Now What?

I put four turkey eggs in the brooder 29 days ago, Yesterday one hatched.

I have 30 chickens, the youngest are 4 weeks old. The four week old chicks (all large breed) are too big to keep with this little guy for now. Do I need to go to the feed store (an hour from home) to buy a friend or two if none of the other turkey eggs hatch?

Hello, a lonley chick will be a noisy chick! Try a stuffed animal or a mirror. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest getting him a playmate. More fuzzy butts the better anyway, right??
