My daughter incubated eggs in her classroom that I bought from a local farmers - it was day 21 and one chick hatched. Waited a couple days and nothing happened. The eggs were brown and some greenish so really hard to see anything in them during the incubation..
Well when I opened the eggs up turned out only the one was fertile..
My daughter has it at home and her kids are loving it.. (she is so spoiled). What in the world am I going to do. I don't have any broody hens and I can't find any baby chicks in my area.
I hate for her to be alone - she is getting so much attention from my granddaughters.
Pictures attached.

They could of been fertile but just not make it. The fertility bullseye disappears once it has been incubated. Chickens usually needs to be in pairs so they don’t get too lonely. I bet if you go to Facebook and type in your county name with the word chicken you’ll pull up some groups. My area has 8 just for chickens in my county and city. We live in a very rural area. You can find a breeder near by with chicks and by one or two. You do have a cutie. Let us know how your search goes. Congratulations on your new chick.

Thank you- I am not on Facebook but my daughter is so we will see what we can do
