We have 8 RSL, they are 17 weeks old as of yesterday. One of our girls has started laying early, at 16 weeks (surprise!). The first two eggs were small but otherwise looked and tasted great. The third was a double yolk. Being new to this I thought everything was great until I noticed a few threads on here about runny egg whites. So the eggs have all had nice golden yellow yolks and a white that holds up around the yolk. But there is also a good amount of very runny white. It seems to cook up and taste just fine, other than the runny part spreading like crazy.

To my point. After reading a few threads there seems to be a general consensus that a diet higher in protein is helpful. At this point I am still feeding DuMor grower/finisher. Should I switch to a layer crumble for the sake of this one hen? Will it harm the others? Or should I just keep everyone on the grower/finisher until more start to lay and hope the over-achievers eggs tighten up when we switch?

It won't harm the others you can switch them to layer I would of done it a month ago
