How do I know when the chickens are ready to process? Weight, age? Should I go on their body condition? How do I tell if they are too fat or too skinny? Ok, enough with the questions, sorry

You pretty much do it when you want to. You can weigh them I suppose. I just look at them and think, "It's time." And I'm not an experienced hand at it, I just do it when I'm ready.

It also depends on what breed you mean. If it's a Cornish X, then try to do it before 10 weeks. If it's not, try not to start drooling before 16 weeks.

Galanie,
they are Cornish X, so I guess its time. Thanks for the info

Typically anytime from 7 to 12 weeks. Eight weeks is probably the standard. Their feed to weight gain ratios start slowing down after 8 weeks. I did 600 this summer and the first batch went 7 weeks and the rest went 8. But like galanie said, when they look ready works too.
