Well, I have egg in my incubator, and this is the first time I have done quail eggs. I forgot that they are on a shorter time frame than chickens, and have been turning them everyday. I even turned them today, Day 16.

So, is this a terrible thing, a not so good but not terrible thing?

I also just raised the humidity.

Fingers crossed!

I have often had them hatch in the turner, either because they were early, or because I forgot about them! I just today had 2 baby button quail hatch in an incubator that didn't have the bottom (was being cleaned), the temp was 97.5 degrees, and humidity was 41%. So I don't think there is anything to worry about!

Thanks everybody. Checked this morning and my humidity was 68% and the temp was 99.5.

Fingers crossed.

I've got 4 in there that one of my broody chickens has been sitting on as an experiment. I pulled them out from under her on Saturday.

I turn my eggs until they hatch (my coturnix eggs) because I set so many of htem in there on various dates its' hard for me to keep track. So I turn until they stink or hatch....

Doesnt hurt them one bit.

Theres a lot of do's and don'ts out there of incubation..... but many have gone against that grain, either by accident or otherwise and come out unscathed I'd say you're A OKAY!
