I feel like such an idiot! I have left most of the chicken care to my husband since we had our very clingy baby 3.5 mo ago. The eggs had not been collected in weeks, I'm vegan and don't eat them so I could care less if they were not collected. Now a 5 YO Easter Egger (who hasn't laid in a year) is now broody. I have a big rooster, 7 hens and a guinea hen, all rescues. This is their forever home. I'm trying to figure out what to do. I found out a few days ago she's been siting on eggs for 1-2 weeks. I am totally freaking out! What am I gonna do with more roosters!?! I did not want unsexed babies! I can't destroy the eggs if their are babies inside! It is super hard to find good forever homes for roosters
We have 2 unfenced acres. We don't want to fence it. We have a small 7'x14' pen I can keep them in until big enough but I'm so afraid we will have more roosters an ours will kill them
Sorry for my rant! Just very upset... Can anyone provide a safe forever home for a rooster in MI!?! Ugh!
