Idk if I have a rooster or chicken. Ive always thought rooster, but i can b wrong. Also I have no idea what breed. Its 12 weeks old and is huge. Anyway, its an inside pet for now ever since at I had it at 3 weeks. When the coops are done I will put it outside and buy some friends for it, so it won't be alone. Well it opens its mouth a lot, but breathes normal, and eats normal. I don't see any gapeworms. Nor does it have any symptoms of it. Is it just hot? I put the fan on it and it runs away. I have no idea what's up with that

A rooster is a chicken.
You might want to post a picture of he/she so that we can identify the gender. If it’s a cockerel and you have been treating him like a pet, chances are he could turn aggressive once he hits puberty, which is not what you want.
He just sounds hot, his 'open mouth' is him panting, I wouldn't place the fan directly on him but providing things like cool water can help to keep him cool. Does he/she go outside? He might enjoy the breezes if there is any around.

Open mouth panting can be from heat or stress.
Opening mouth and stretching neck can be adjusting of crop.
