My 4 girls are now 16 weeks old and showing signs that they are preparing for laying. I've had the 2 nest boxes closed so they wouldn't sleep in them and learn to roost at nite. Well, they've done that. In fact they squabble over who get the spot closest to the door I open first thing in the morning. Do I go ahead and open up the nest boxes? Will they still roost at nite?
