Opening size to ramp in floor?

We are almost finished with an A-frame chicken coop with a hole in the floor for the ramp to get to the grass. My question is how big does the hole need to be if the slope of the ramp is 45 degrees? It is thirteen by ten right now and it still seems like the chickens would hit their heads. Thank you in advance.
