Opinion on getting chicks shipped?

Hi! I’m in Alaska so I don’t have many hatcheries in my area and the ones we do have common breeds… I’ve heard that people are very successful here in their orders of chicks from the lower 48s, ive wanted to get some Millie Fleur D’uccles, should I try ordering them? And if so where should I order them from?

Meyer hatchery is offering sexed bantams new this year and they also have the MF D’Uccle. They do ship to Alaska. 3-14 chicks for a flat rate of $75. I have done something similar and have had chicks shipped to Hawaii. When I have done so I’ve ordered extras for others with a slight markup which helps cover the shipping fee.

Awesome! I’ll definitely order from them once it’s warm enough! Unless they sell older ones too but I don’t think people ship pullets
