Opinions on this coop please.

Hello,
Could a few of you review this coop? I wonder: if it will stand up to MI winters? If the metal floor is a bad idea (slippery, cold in the winter)? If 3 nest boxes is overkill for my 3-4 hens? If the roosts below the nest boxes is going to invite them to sleep in nest boxes and give me poopy egg headaches.

I just liked the price point and it does look nice from the outside. Also, procrastinating building my own...

A metal floor in the winter would be bad, you are inviting frostbitten feet. But, you would probably fill that with shavings, so I don't see it as an issue. I like it!

I bought one very similar off the Internet. It was garbage. Could be ok for banties or chicks.

I've seen a few like that. The wood was very thin and cheap, the design is nice though.

You want roosts higher than egg boxes or they will get nice and cozy in them at night instead of being on their roosts.

honey, that won't make it here in the frozen midwest. If you like the way it looks build your own (but BIGGER) or hire a carpenter off craigslist. Totally worth the money you'll pay and it will be done fast and RIGHT. You'll want insulation and WAY more space than that teensy tinsy coop can offer you. My chickens won't go outside when it's snowing even tho their run has a roof -- they spend about 5 months indoors. They need more than the average 4 sq/ft.
