It is really hot. Hitting 95-100 every day. The nights are fairly hot also. I have about 75 babies in my brooder. They are around 3 weeks old. I don't have a light on them anymore. Do you think it would be too early for them to go out to the nursery pen, out in the open? I worry about them giving off too much heat amongst themselves in the brooder. I know they will have to go out in another week, b/c I have more babies hatching, but I don't want them to overheat in the meantime.

I would put a light up for them even a lower wattage regular light bulb. My big girls have a 11 watt red sign light bulb (night light) on in their coop 24/7.

They'd probably be alright with this heat we are having, but you said the pen is out in the open? Is it covered with anything? Hawks could easily get them. If the pen is predator proof then they would be plenty warm and safe.
