I'm guessing since "she" is crowing day and night that they got that wrong and also based on what some of you have said in the past, "her" coloring is wrong to be a black star. Any ideas on what breed?

Why would a hen crow? Hmmmm.

White on it's chest, gold on it's back. I think it's an Easter Egger.
What color are the legs?

Does it lay blue or green eggs?

I was so confused by the title of this post!? I'm like isn't Oprah black, isn't she female, isn't she a "star" so to speak... ? Cracked me up...

Ok sorry, no help.

It's a cross of some sort-not an EE. Easter eggers have pea combs not single combs.

That is definitely a cockeral. Black-star males would have barring, yours doesn't. Some of his feathers remind me of EE feathering. Just because he doesn't have a pea comb doesn't mean he's not an EE, it just means he doesn't have a lot of auracana or ameraucana blood in him to trump the single comb and clean face. He'll be a beauty if you keep him to maturity. Do you have a picture of him that shows his legs too?

Black Sex Link cockrels should be barred, like mentioned. But they are also generally that color and often have that yellow feathering. There is no doubt it's a male, though.
