Orange background color when you hover?

I know the title may be confusing and this may not be the right spot to post this but I've noticed on the homepage when you hover over one of the newest threads in one of the categories and the box comes up showing more of the thread the background is orange. It wasn't before. Is this new or...? Pretty but I was just curious.
