So i decided to order some Guinea fowl eggs. They took 3 days to get to me, waited the 24 hours and put them in. I am not happy... they are on day 7. And out of 18... 4... 4 are growing. I have never had this bad of odds...

I found that shipping really hurts some eggs. It also depends on the shipping route/carrier.

I’ve ordered eggs a few times from the same person and they always turned out bad. Each time it had horrible hatch rates until they finally changed the carrier and the hatch rate went from around 10% to 80%.

It was probably the same worker throwing the box of eggs each time they got it.

Yikes! :hmm Shipping does a number on embryos, so it might not be that they weren’t fertile...just too shaken up. So sorry! :hugs

Where did you order from?

I looked at reviews and it seems he has a bad history of infertile eggs
Can I ask why didn't you read reviews before you ordered?

I highly recommend researching the next person you buy from before you actually buy.

I bought at about 11 pm. XD Saw the price and bought it. I swear I wont by when half asleep again. Normally research before I buy

I don't know that ebay reviews have that much credence. The last person I purchased eggs from has stellar reviews and 99% positive feedback - mine arrived poorly packaged, broken or scrambled, with 0% viability. It could easily be blamed on mishandling by the post office or just the luck of the draw but shipped eggs are always a risk.
