Here are some of my results in the past few years. 1st one. Mcmurray Hatchery. Faverolles were a great breed and very good stock along with their Rainbow Layers. All came healthy with minimal loss do Temp of the season. I found they were very easy to chat with over the phone. Due to shipping cost their prices can get high. 2nd one. Crackle. Their chicks were very healthy and again had some loss but they sent out a few extra chicks to replace the ones that I lost. Breed wise for their chicks are ok, wished they could have had a better pet agree for a show bird, but then again it is hit or miss with any bird when it comes from a hatchery. Loved there Ancona ducks. very easy to care for and great tasting not to mention great egg producer as well. 3rd one. Ideal hatchery. Assorted Brahmas. We ended up loving this breed, lost a few chicks on arrival but again it was ok. Over all the chicks were strong, healthy. customer service great to work with when it came to replacement of chick and price along with ship was very reasonable. 4th one. Hoover hatchery. received chicks today. all are alive and healthy, was close to losing one but it came out of it after I put it in the incubator for a little more warmth. This company has extremely great prices alone with shipping cost. All hatcheries ordered from were in the time table of Jan-March in Minnesota, so you can imagine the weather they had to travel though to get here. All hatcheries for mail delivery were 2 days except for Hoover which was only 1 due to how close they are to use which would be the reason why we didn't lose a chick. No matter who you end up going with every hatchery will have their weakness and strength when it comes to their birds. I would order from each and every one of these hatcheries again and some I have already. I would also like to thank those that work in these places that supply us with these bundle of joy for what ever reason we need these chicks for.
