I know it seems crazy to order eggs from out of the country but the breed I am looking for is literally no where to be found in the US and I see tons of them in turkey 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
I know hatch rates will be superrrr low almost always 0% but if I get atleast one or two hatched chicks then I will be okay lol

Has anyone ordered eggs from over seas and have any luck with them at all?

Mille Fluer/ Porcelain colored Brahmas. I’m in 4 different brahma groups in FB and a lot of people say they are working on them but don’t have any available and won’t until a few years to perfect them
Ooh, beautiful breed and coloring!
I'd recommend letting the eggs rest for 24 hours when the eggs come in because they will be in stress from traveling.

I have ordered eggs from 2600 miles away, twice, and both times I got a 50% hatch rate. However, that was domestic and I'd trust the USPS a lot more than international transfers and other countries' mail carriers... especially in that part of the world (nothing judgmental, I've just lived there and know how little they care a lot of the time). So, give it a try if you can afford it (it's probably quite pricey). And give the eggs extra care and consideration. Incubate upright and give them the best conditions you can, as they can't take variation as well as local eggs can (dips/spikes in temp and humidity etc.)

There's some issues regarding the potential for the eggs being X-rayed at the U.S. port and they may be opened and examined depending on how they label the package, food and live things pose the risk bio contamination. Not to mention the temperature of the shipping containers (could be in cargo plane with no temp regulation) could come by cargo boat and take several weeks. You need to have a frank discussion with the seller about shipping practices.

Very good points. Definitely check to be sure that this is even legal... Depending on what kind of shipping speed you choose (if you even have a choice) this package could take several months to arrive, or it may not arrive at all. I receive packages sent from Eastern Europe regularly (no eggs, just gifts from family) and they may take anywhere from two weeks to three months to arrive, and sometimes never arrive at all. They are usually kicked to sh** by the time they get to me. So, distance per se isn't really the problem here, it's the handling... And how long those eggs will sit in transit getting old. Unless you can get some kind of crazy fast shipping over just a couple of days, and get lucky with the handling, I actually don't think this would be worth the money.
