Yes, they are safe. I'd forgotten how demanding goslings can be. Already, I'm mom and they want to be with me every second. Out of the pen, they run after me just as they would their parents. That will be fine once they get a little bigger. Now, I know I'd end up stepping on them. Safety means being confined for now.
