OT for chickens but still a pest

I have always used moth balls to keep my kitty away from the christmas tree. maybe that would work. If not I know snakes hate them

Thank you all for the suggestions. I've decided to dig a moat...

I put moth balls on my shopping list and will stop at the pet shop to find the spray. I was out working this evening and through several piles over the fence....oops.
