Other birds...eating feed?

Hi all,

What do you do about migrating birds eating your chicken's feed and water supply when they are outside?

We will have an enclosed run, but it won't have wire on top.

Have you all experienced this kind of freeloading? Any dangers with contamination?

Any thoughts about what to do?

I just feed my hens what they will eat in a short few minutes then they free range for bugs until evening and I will give them a little more.
