We have her separated from the rest of the flock in the coop. How and when do you let her and her chicks join the flock? We have a resident Barred Rock roo, two more Barred Rock hens, and four EE's The coop is 10'x10' and the hen and chicks have an area of about 2 1/2'x8' with their own food and water.

Lots of different ideas on this. Main thing is to have the time to monitor them when you try it. Sounds like they can see each other now, which is good. Might help when you try it to have them in the run or free range so they can get away from each other. Also might help for the babies to have a place to go that the older hens can't get to. I'd probably try it when the chicks are around 10-14 days, but that's just me.
