One grew a blue feather I think but the rest show no difference though. Two 11 weeks old, Three 5+ weeks old, and the runner duck I am thinking ~2 weeks old...?

Surprisingly adapted and got bold already. Willing to rush between rooster and hens to eat from feeder. Seems to not be scared of nothing except maybe me getting a bit too close lol, but I am impressed. It had only been 5 days and they are already eating and drinking casually(and sleep everywhere and anywhere)

On another side though. New pullets still not adapted. Still pretty skittish(to other hens) but not scared of me at least. The older hens were the opposite lol. Very bold to chickens but so scared of me XD
Unfortunately the four 16 weeks old is much smaller than the others and bullied and barely ate so I put them in cages so they’ll eat more.
Anyway misc images at the bottom. The new chickens are so pretty honestly. Didn’t take pics of them all but I was enamored at the iridescent and the colors of the pullets’ feathers.
They are beautiful!

Nothing screams busy like not posting for months lmao, and genuinely writing have been tiring me out so much I didn't even try.

Well I am back now and a lot have happened since late May.

For once, three of my hens goes broody at the same time 3-4th of June, and I let them sit while incubated eggs indoor. I gave them a few eggs on day 10 and a few more on day 17. I regretted it inmesenely. I gave half the clutch to the broodies. The clutch was 26 eggs, 21 lasted to day 10, I give the broodies 11 eggs in total and most of them died. One chick was crushed after hatched, a lot of unborns died due to cold and whoever survived in the end was rescued from under the broodies.
I gave the chicks back to the broodies, one took to adoption and the rest were tentative. One chick died with the three mom, I assume was crushed, so I seperate the best mom, Shady, with the chicks into an outdoor cage. Another died around a week old, head stuck on a bar, probably died of cold the weather was awful. Put the broody and chicks in a cardboard box and everything seems fine now but that month was traumatizing 😬

The total live chicks right now are 11 from June batch, 2 chicks of Cookie the broody still alive, and 15 still alive from May batch. For some reason I can’t send images, I’ll probably try again later???

Finch the runner duck and a new pullet bought May goes broody after the previous broodies move out of their nests. Finch had gone broody once and a year old so it make sense but the pullet who hasn’t laid many eggs, if at all, sitting? Odd as heck. I haven’t had the time to break them but I will soon, they’ve sat for 10+ days already and I need eggs and they’re annoying.

I brought home two free runner duck drakes I acquire online yesterday but dad drived me 35 km or something twice so that’s the ducks’ cost. The oil’s cost.

I want to incubate eggs again but this time mostly duck eggs but the ducks lays one egg every day or even none a day so I may buy hatching eggs if I can find some nearby. We’ll see if the idea comes to fruition but hopefully making a hatch a long soon, but for reference. I’ve successfully hatched pullet eggs size, ooblong, long eggs, big eggs, thin shell egg and deformed egg, so there’s a lot to write down.

Dunno why can’t I send pictures still.
