Our coop in North Georgia lots of pics

I finally remembered to take some pics of our coop. We found the perfect spot for it nestled in a corner of the property by a shady tree. We built it with a high roof (tin) and spaces in between the boards for ventilation. It stays very nice in the coop at all times, even in the worst heat of the summer. The big girls seem very happy and the babies are venturing out more and more.

We buried hardware cloth to keep predators from digging in.

Looks good. I'd wrap the bottom of the whole run in hardware cloth as well. You never know what could get in there... weasels, snakes, etc...

Thanks. We did wrap in hardware cloth and then put deer netting over the top. Rosie the Hamburg still gets out, should have named her Houdini but so far so good.

Looks very much like my original coop (which grew from 8x8 to 8x20). Do you have hardware wire in those gaps at the top? Just checking!

Thanks Speckled! We did put the wire in the inside vents but we are too short for the top ones and I think that is where Rosie is getting out. Gotta get my ladder down there.
