Didn't know that..that thing had a name (carabiner.) I use 'em all of the time. There are, however, more sophisticated closures to elude predators, IF you find that you need them.
I HATE padlocks when they freeze in the winter!!!
Otherwise, I'll like them for non-living things to be locked in.
