Here is our first coop setup! It is a TSC prefab coop. So far it it working well. Easy to put together.
We took out one of the hardware cloth panels and installed a sliding door so that they can have access to their run under our deck. The run is about 12x22 and shaded all day. We enclosed the run with chicken wire so the chickens will stay in but we don't have any daytime predators to protect against.
We made a pvc feeder that works really well, we put a cap on it at night so we don't attract any rats - so far so good! We also made a pvc watered that works alright - it is a little drippy.
Under the deck they have a few ladders and perches.
