our crested duck is acting Weird

she is almost 6 months old and she is straying away from the group.Is this normal for her to do,We have never noticed her without her friends before so why the change now.
When do they start to lay at what age.

They should be starting to lay about now. 5-6 months. Depends on breed as some mature sooner than others. Why she is straying from the others, I'm not sure. I know when my ducks went broody they strayed, but I think it's a bit soon for that.
