We're down from 17 to 12 -- we found 4 of their bodies but they were missing heads (drug into the house via the doggy door so we know it was the dogs). One must have taken flight and soared over the back yard fence. Question is -- we have 2 large breed & one medium breed dogs --- if we're thinking right & they ate the heads, is it going to harm the dogs? Sad enough as it is, don't want a double whammy now on top of it.

We have the chickens (9 weeks old now) in a shed with a screen door that's closed, the coop/shed door is open and the run is fenced in. The chickens were locked in the coop behind the screen door and we left the dogs in the house when we ran out for errands this morning. Guessing the back door wasn't shut well when we let them in before leaving because they were able to get out the doggy door that's in the screen behind the closed door and into the yard and through the fence into the coop. Don't want anyone to think we left the dogs here running loose with easy access. They had to really WORK to get in there.
