awhile ago we got a baby emu, the father was hit and killed by a car so they brought the baby to us to look after. Now she runs around like mad and is best friends with the miniature horse. Gotta watch if your wearing anything shiney because the dam thing will try and take it. When my mum is hanging out clothes she'll come up and grab a sock or two and throw it away. She also helps keep foxes away from the chooks

some trivia for ya, when the first fleet came to australia they use to shoot and check the emus stomachs for precious gems since they eat shiney stuff. though nott the nicest of trivia :S
