I went out to check the coop after a heavy rain and there, in one of the nesting boxes was the first egg any of my girls have laid! It was perfect in all respects, albeit small. I have no idea which one of the girls laid it, though. I have 4 Buff Orpingtons , a RIR and 2 Americaunas that are close to laying age. It was light brown, so it had to be either the RIR or one of the Buffs. I'm SO excited!
