Our little old english pheasants fowl got very weak after red mite attack. She stopped following the flock around free ranging..She just layed down sleeping in the bushes..Her face turned grey, and her comb withered.
And now the cocerell has tuned against her.He peck her away from food and don't want her near him..She literally cries. Its so sad to see..What shall I do about it?

Yes, coop has been cleaned out and sprayed..All the hens had some ivermectin treatment..ok I will keep her separate to she picks up a bit more..
The cocerell was her saviour, she loved it under his protection..
Does it happen often that a cocerell totally turns like that on a hen?

I have had a rooster refuse to let a hen back in the group because she was away too long with a broken wing.

It doesn't sound like she has been separated too long. You could try taking him out of the group when you put her back in. Hopefully the other hens will not pick on her. The add him back in Maybe in a cage where he can see all of them for a day. Then let him out and supervise to see how it goes.

Is it possible something else is wrong with her? If so he may be aware of it and is keeping her away to try to protect the others.

Hmm yes thats a good idea.thank you.
She does have a funny looking beak, that grows and grows..We do cut it quiet often.
And two of the toes turn upwards. But healthy in any other ways..She was always the bottom hen.But she realy thrived when cocerell came here 6 mnds ago..She followed him everywhere. And he was very nice to her..
I am amazed that it could all change so badly.?
