So we have been attempting to get a quality bottle buckling since we got our first goats last June. Our first buckling was a few months old and came home with our first batch of goats. He was very friendly but the breeder we got him from had planned to wether him. So we named him Lucky. Well, he developed a urinary tract infection and we had no idea what was wrong. We lost him. So, we traded a doeling for a grown billy (a 300# Nubian beast) that was stuck in rut. He needed a herd of about 400 girls. We got tired of him terrorizing the already bred (by him) girls so we sold him. And THEN we drove 6 hours round trip for the newest little baby that was 7 days old when we brought him home and he died within 3 days of getting him home.
NOW, this is Our Last Chance. Full-blood registered Nubian that I drove halfway across Texas for and traded some goose eggs for. Crossing my fingers that THIS is the buckling we were destined to have.....
