There are no gaps on these pallets because they're for roofing material. It's a specific type of pallet for a certain type of roofing material. We used 2x4's and slid the pallets down them then nailed the pallet it. Then we put the next pallet on. It's kind of hard to explain, but it was built by a carpenter. We just told him what we were thinking about doing and he offered to help us. He borrowed my husband every time he worked on it and he learned so much from this experience.So awesome!! My church just built an 8x8 coop for me, and they spent $600 on it! Feeling both sad and blessed now...
Sadder still (or just cuckoo), I need more space so I can separate the birds I want to sell from my pets. Was already thinking about pallets because they are often free on Craigslist. Your coop is an inspiration! How was the frame built? Did you take some pallets apart to fill the gaps in the ones you used? It looks great!
