She is 8 months old and teeny tiny. I haven't expected much from her in terms of eggs, I've heard that Modern Games are not big layers.
She was circling around the garden all day, hopping from flower pot to another, rustling in the bushes, then checked out the nesting boxes in the coop, not satisfied, she moved on to the garage, but my husband chased her out as he was working with power tools there. She jumped onto the window ledge outside the kitchen and was peeking in for quite a while, she's quite a flyer. She entered the house, elegant and long legged, rummaged through every room in hopes of finding the perfect nest. I chased her out when she sat on my computer keyboard, but she must've come back through the open door. She's just the sweetest chicken ever.
A while later the kids were looking all over for her. They finally found her in their room, under my son's bed, in a stuffed toy basket. There she was, happy and proud, with her first egg. A perfect creamy white egg, much larger than I expected. She was so proud!
